In the: Ahead of former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s scheduled visit to Nellore on Thursday, Nellore district in-charge SP A.R. Damodar announced that Z+ category security is being ensured to ensure full safety.
Speaking to media, he said six drones and 40 CCTV cameras will be used as part of a robust security setup. Permissions for the helipad have been granted.
As per the opposition leader’s itinerary, the YSRC president will arrive at Chemudugunta helipad at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to meet former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy in Nellore Central Jail. Following that, he will visit the residence of former MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy in Nellore town.
SP Damodar underlined that no permissions have been sought or given for public gatherings or rallies. Entry into Nellore Central Jail, a high-security zone, is strictly limited to authorised personnel only. “Measures are being taken to avoid traffic disruptions during the visit,” he underlined.
The SP warned against provocative slogans, banners or placards, saying legal action will be taken in case of any violations.
Ahead of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit, police are checking vehicles, inspecting lodges and monitoring check-posts. Damodar directed officials to ensure total access control and discipline as part of the high-level security protocol.
