Warangal police, in coordination with RTA officials, arrested 15 members of two gangs for producing fake vehicle registration and insurance papers. Seizures included card printing equipment and devices. Five others are absconding, and police are probing RTO staff involvement

Warangal: The Task Force, along with Hanamkonda, Mills Colony, and KUC police, in coordination with RTA officials, arrested 15 persons belonging to two gangs involved in creating bogus vehicle registration and insurance certificates, causing a loss to the state exchequer.
Revealing the details of the case here on Tuesday, Central Zone DCP Shaikh Salima informed that police seized six desktop computers, two laptops, two thermal printers, 17 mobile phones, PVC cards with computer keys, and equipment required for card printing from the accused.
Those arrested are: MD Asif Qureshi, Vadlakonda Srinivas, MD Nawab, MD Sabir, M Prabhakar Reddy, Guggilla Cherry Babu, Keshoju Rajkumar alias DL Raju, MD Asif, Ankam Srinivas, Gonela Ramesh alias Vagdevi Ramesh, N Sasivardhan, Narisetty Rajesh, Thanda Diliv Kumar, Mujjiga Omprakash, and Musipatla Akshay Kumar.
Five other accused—Lakshmamma, Satish, Velpula Prashanth, Devulapalli Shravan, and Mangodi Raju—are absconding. Most of the accused were RTO brokers and vehicle consultancy owners.
In two separate incidents, Hanamkonda police arrested six persons, Mills Colony police arrested another six, and KUC police arrested three. The DCP said police were also investigating the possible involvement of RTO department employees in helping the accused.
