Former Chief Secretary Iyr krishna rao is a BJP Leader, but always comes across like a strong supporter of the YSR Congress and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Before 2019, he used to target Chandrababu Naidu’s Government and indirectly used to help Jagan.
Later, he joined the BJP and helped Jagan between 2019 and 2024 by being completely silent on issues.

But then, Krishna Rao seems to have given up on Jagan since the BJP at the Center is dependent on TDP’s numbers, and it may backfire if he speaks Pro-Jagan.
So, he is largely inactive these days.

After a long time, IYR spoke about the AP Liquor Scam.
He says Jagan is in neck-deep trouble in the Liquor Scam, and he can not escape.

“He foolishly appointed an unqualified excise commissioner, mandated cash-only payments for corruption, promoted spurious brands over reputable ones, causing health risks and smuggling. It’s blatant, with no subtlety. Jagan got caught red-handed. and can’t escape,” IYR said.
He also said the Liquor Scam in AP surpasses Delhi’s scam in scale.
According to the Preliminary Charge Sheet, Rajampet MP Mithun Reddy, along with Raj Kasireddy, who was IT Advisor to former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, are involved in the 3,500 crore liquor case, which involves the manipulation of excise policy to benefit certain liquor companies on payment of kickbacks.
The name of the then Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddywas mentioned several times in the Charge Sheet.
According to the Charge Sheet, those involved used to get 50-60 crore every month from companies and distilleries that secured liquor supply orders.
The chargesheet outlines how bribes were taken by purchasing gold, through accounts of shell companies, and in real estate transactions. The transactions made through companies based in Mumbai and Delhi were mentioned.
The SIT also found that the money thus collected has also been spent on the election expenses in 2024.
People like IYR Krishnarao also deserting Jagan on this issue indicate the gravity of the situation.
If Jagan gets arrested in this case, he is likely to have very little help politically as well.
