Hyderabad: A man suffered injuries in a road accident near Cyber Gateway in Madhapur on Wednesday. The incident came to light after Cyberabad traffic police posted on X, stating that both the car and the bike involved had been cleared from the spot.
The injured person was shifted to a nearby private hospital. As no complaint was lodged with the Madhapur police, no case was registered. A video showing a man and a Madhapur traffic constable pushing the car aside to ease traffic movement was widely shared on X.
Woman accuses Insta friend of rape
Hyderabad: A 24-year-old woman has alleged that a man she met on Instagram raped her at his residence in Shobana Colony, Balanagar. According to Balanagar SI Saritha Patel, the accused, Jakka Siddha Reddy, 24, runs a grinding business and hails from Nalgonda. He allegedly invited the woman to celebrate her birthday and arranged a cab to bring her to his house on the night of July 29.
After they consumed food and alcohol, Reddy allegedly sexually assaulted her and threatened her not to inform anyone. The woman managed to escape and dialled 100 around 4.10 am on Wednesday. Based on her complaint, Balanagar police registered a case and launched an investigation.
