Karimnagar: A 25-year-old man allegedly stabbed his father multiple times over a land dispute in Raikal mandal, Jagtial district, on Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Chityala Lakshmi Narsaiah, is in critical condition and was rushed by family members to the government hospital before being referred to a Hyderabad facility for advanced treatment.
According to police, Narsaiah’s son, Rajendar, and his friend Aslam attacked him with knives after Rajendar learned that his father had sold 10 guntas of land to repay debts from his younger daughter’s wedding. They stabbed Narsaiah eight times in the abdomen.
Local residents and family members transported the critically injured Narsaiah to the hospital. Rajendar later surrendered to police, who have registered a case and launched an investigation.
