After some chit chat with farm friends, we stared our drive to explore a 500yr old lord Shiva temple 44kms away.

Monsoon drive and exploring places in and around dr bones jungle home
If it’s monsoon, there has to be a drive. Plan is to explore places in and around dr bones jungle home, as I have a base camp now. Fill it and start driving. This time not in my Isuzu MUX, but in my friend Dr. Anil’s(plastic surgeon) Tata Safari.
Me, Dr. Anil, and Vijay is the team for this road trip.
This time I have some farm work to take care of. Plan is to reach dr bones jungle home, and decide.
After reaching dr bones jungle home, we are in no hurry. Time stands still at this place. It’s raining, and the weather is awesome. So planned to have a relaxed dinner. Fixed the projector and speaker with light soul southing music, with the drizzle and cool breeze, our heart wanted to have a couple of drinks. Hence opened our bottle of favourite whiskey, manager is courteous enough to serve us with hot and fresh chicken pakoda, Cashew garlic roast, which tasted heavenly with light drizzle, favourite whisky and soft music.
Next morning plan is to wake up early and explore the areas in and around dr bones jungle home, but as expected we woke up late.
After some chit chat with farm friends, we stared our drive to explore a 500yr old lord Shiva temple 44kms away deep inside the forest, which was visited by a good friend Mr Prasad when he visited dr bones jungle home with his family, he was kind enough to give me the details.
This country always surprises me at every moment.
On the way to temple, we found a beautiful gurudwara, it’s a peaceful place, we are the only visitors at that time. Went inside the gurudwara, it’s so peaceful. we sat there for 10mins, and started our journey further, it was raining nonstop.
The road towards the 500yr old temple is fantastic.
I wonder how this place would have been 500yrs back?
I am always mesmerised and intrigued by Hindu temple architecture and engineering.
How did these temples survive the test of time? Did we loose hindu architectures beauty and durability in the name of modern engineering?
After a peaceful Darshana, went back to dr bones jungle home, took care of the farm work, and relaxed.
Next morning had some hot coffee and went exploring the local forest. Discovered a beautiful hillock just 6kms from dr bones jungle home. Parked the car and took a small trek to the hill top.
Panoramic view from the top is amazing.
Penganga dam( 80% of the dam is in Telangana and 20% in Maharastra).
Had a good and soul satisfying monsoon drive, with delicious home made local food.
