
Members of the Greater Hyderabad Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GHSPCA), and People for Animals (PFA), who rescued six snakes from various parts of Hyderabad on the occasion of Nag Panchami.
The Greater Hyderabad Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GHSPCA) and People for Animals (PFA) rescued six snakes from various parts of Hyderabad on the occasion of Nag Panchami, on Tuesday.
Three snakes were rescued from Shahalibanda, one from Hussaini Alam, and two from Mangalhat. The reptiles were reportedly in the possession of snake charmers operating in Shalibanda, Gowlipura, Hussaini Alam, Doodh Bowli, Jiyaguda, Mosabowli, and Moghalpura, according to a release from GHSPCA.
The rescued snakes are currently under the care of a wildlife veterinarian. Once they recover, they will be released in their natural forest habitat. The operation involved 35 volunteers and was conducted with the support of local police stations from Moghalpura and Mangalhat.
