Triumph is gearing up to launch a new caf racer bike soon. It is rumoured to be called either Speed 400 RS or Thruxton 400. It will be launched in early August. The upcoming Triumph caf racer has already been spotted testing in India. It was recently seen in Pune during a TVC shoot. The new caf racer will share its underpinnings with the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. It will feature a classic bubble-type fairing with a round headlamp similar to the Thruxton 1200, clip-on handlebars with bar-end mirrors, a single-piece seat with rear-set foot pegs, and an upswept exhaust. The bike will be powered by the same engine as the Speed 400. The 399cc, single-cylinder unit puts out 39.5 BHP and 37.5 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a torque-assist clutch. The suspension setup will comprise a USD fork and a mono-shock in the rear. Braking duties will be handled by disc brakes.
