In a tragic incident, a 27-year-old man, unable to cope with heartbreak and allegations made by his lover, died by suicide in Hyderabad. The victim, Chakrapani, a resident of Ramanthapur in the Uppal area, took his own life on Wednesday after facing issues in his long-term relationship that ended painfully.
Chakrapani worked for a private company and lived with his mother and sister. According to police and family sources, he had been in a relationship since 2018 with a young woman named Haripriya, from Firzadiguda. The two reportedly shared a close bond for over eight years and had decided to get married earlier this year, with a wedding planned in February.
Legal Trouble Changed Everything
However, things turned grim when Haripriya’s family opposed their relationship. Claiming that Haripriya was a minor when the relationship began, her parents lodged a complaint at Medipalli police station, accusing Chakrapani of harassment. Following this complaint, Chakrapani was arrested and sent to jail.
He spent several weeks behind bars and was only released on July 30. Family members say the incident left him emotionally shattered and socially isolated.
Rejected After Release
After getting out of jail, Chakrapani tried to reconnect with Haripriya, only to be rejected again. According to reports, she told him clearly, “I don’t love you anymore… I have already met someone else.” This conversation left Chakrapani devastated. Despite their years-long relationship, Haripriya had moved on, and her words reportedly affected Chakrapani deeply.
On Wednesday morning, Chakrapani visited Haripriya’s home, hoping to speak with her. However, her family confronted him and warned him to leave. They also informed the police about his presence. Overwhelmed by the rejection and humiliation, Chakrapani returned to his home and later that day, died by suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan when no one else was around.
