Hyderabad: Senior drug researcher Dr Ravikrishna Chebolu, a native of Hyderabad, has been appointed as the Head of the CSIR-Innovation Complex (CSIR-IC), Mumbai, effective July 28, by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
Dr Chebolu holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Hyderabad, where he pursued research under the mentorship of Professor Goverdhan Mehta. He completed his postdoctoral training at Rutgers University and the University of Connecticut in the United States.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with scientists at the Hyderabad-based Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT). His professional journey spans leading Indian Pharma and CDMO organizations such as Aragen and Laurus Labs, as well as multinational companies, including Agilent Technologies, West Pharmaceuticals, and Eurofins.
The CSIR-Innovation Complex in Mumbai is envisioned as a dynamic hub for translational research, industry-academia collaboration, and innovation-driven growth.
