Vijay Deverakonda’s “Kingdom” opened to strong collections worldwide. The U.S. premiere numbers came as a pleasant surprise, grossing nearly $900K. This is one of the biggest openings for a Telugu film in recent times. Despite Vijay Deverakonda being in a lean phase with a string of flops, he managed to deliver such a massive opening, something even stars with consistent success haven’t achieved lately.
Domestically too, the film witnessed impressive openings.
Producer Naga Vamsi stated, “There were a few minor flaws and some complaints about the second half, but overall, the response has been phenomenal. Vijay Deverakonda is known to have a strong market in Telangana, but the surprise has been Rayalaseema. The collections from that region alone will recover nearly 40% of our theatrical business on Day 1. Overall, we are expecting a gross of Rs 35 to Rs 40 crore worldwide on the opening day.”

Vijay Deverakonda shared his excitement, saying, “I’m at a loss for words to express my joy. The love and response from fans and audiences across regions has been overwhelming.”
Co-star Satyadev also expressed his happiness over the film’s strong reception.
