The Dallas Wings are now 8-18 during the 2025 WNBA season after a 92-82 win over the 17-8 New York Liberty. With the victory, Dallas moved up to 11th place in the league standings and now sits just 5.0 games out of the playoff picture.

In the win, veteran guard Arike Ogunbowale became the first player in WNBA history to record 15 or more points and 10 or more assists in the first half of a game. She finished with 20 points and a career-high 14 assists.

Rookie guard Paige Bueckers was also productive, scoring 20 points while also adding six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Bueckers’ 20 points on Monday marked the 10th time this season that she has recorded 20 or more points for the Wings. She reached this mark in just 21 career games, making her the fastest rookie guard to achieve this since 2006.

Not even the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark, a two-time WNBA All-Star and 2024 Rookie of the Year, achieved this. It took her 26 games to record her 10th 20-point outing (via Pro Basketball Reference).

Bueckers is now averaging 18.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists during her rookie campaign. She is shooting 45.0% from the floor and 32.9% from the three-point line. She also recorded a double-double in late May against the Minnesota Lynx.

The Wings will return to the court on Wednesday evening when they host the 15-10 Atlanta Dream at the College Park Center in Dallas, Texas. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET.
