I’d advise other Mahindra Thar Roxx owners to have a look at their SUVs as well.

My car just completed 2000 kms and is down first service at around 1460kms. Noticed a potential packaging issue that can cause a breakdown.
The engine cover rubs against the fuel return pipe wired through the firewall and it has already eaten up half of the felt liner.
This is the location:
To see this, you will have to remove the top cover by pulling it up. A close look at the damage of the insulation material used by Mahindra at the factory:
Lucky that I have noticed it and did a bit of additional packaging and pulled it to the right using a plastic tie so that it passes through the groove they created on the engine top cover for clearance.
After the jugad fix to avoid further damage:
To address this, Mahindra should do a recall with a modified part- either the fuel return pipe with better routing or the engine cover with more clearance.
It would be good if you guys took a look at your vehicles, too. Can lead to a breakdown if the return pipe is cut.
Apart from this, I found the autonomous emergency braking is very inconsistent. A couple of times, I observed that it didn’t intervene at all where it could have. But when it works, it’s very nicely calibrated and activated in a safe manner. The AEB is enabled in the settings all the time, but it works only in some trips. Just removed the battery and reconnected it to see if it fixes the problem.
