Two people were arrested, and five were booked by the State Task Force (STF) officials in Dhoolpet on Thursday, July 31 for their involvement in drug peddling.
The officials seized 2.5 kilograms of ganja during an inspection drive carried out between Karwan Road to Rahimpur in Dhoolpet.
The arrested individuals were identified as Amar Singh and Dhananjaya, while search operations are underway to trace Tulja Singh, Kishan, Vamsi, Sonu, and Shobhai.
The duo was caught selling ganja in the area. A total of 2.494 kilograms of ganja was seized from their possession, along with two mobile phones and two scooters which were used in the sale and transport of the contraband.
The accused and the seized ganja were handed over to the Dhoolpet Excise station for further investigations.
