VinFast VF6 and VF7 Electric SUVs Launching in August 2025

The Vietnamese EV manufacturer, Vinfast is all set to begin its Indian operations with the launch of the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in late August, 2025. Ahead of their official launch, the carmaker inaugurated its first showroom in Piplod, Surat, Gujart. Both EVs were put up on display at the newly opened outlet and will be brought as CKD (completely knocked down) units.

The carmaker will expand its dealership network across 27 cities nationwide by the end of this year. Bookings for EVs are already underway across India. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Vinfast electric SUVs.

VinFast VF6

The powertrain details of the India-spec VF6 are yet to be revealed. In global markets, the Vinfast VF6 is available in two variants Eco and Plus, featuring a 59.6kWh battery and a single electric motor. The Eco variant offers a claimed range of 410km, while the Plus variant promises 379km on a single charge.

The Vinfast VF6 has a sporty all-black cabin theme with silver accents and soft-touch materials. The electric SUV comes with a host of features including a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Appel CarPlay connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated front seats, auto AC, HUD (head-up display), a 360-degree camera, multiple airbags, Level-2 ADAS suite and more. The EV will come in six colour options – Urban Mint, Infinity Blanc, Zenith Grey, Desat Silver, Crimson Red and Jet Black.

VinFast VF7

The Vinfast VF7 is the brand’s flagship EV, which is globally available in two variants – Eco FWD and Plus AWD. Both variants are equipped with a 70.8kWh battery pack and an electric motor, delivering power worth 201PS and 204PS, respectively. The Eco variant returns a WLTP claimed range of 450km and the Plus trim offers 431km on a single charge.

On the exterior, the VF7 features sleek headlamps, split LED DRLs,  20-inch alloy wheels and a sloping roofline. The electric SUV will be offered in the same paint schemes as the VF6. Inside, the driver-focused cabin adopts a minimalist design approach with features such as a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HUD, a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats with 8-way powered driver’s seat, auto AC, multiple airbags, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS, etc.
