HYDRAA Chief Inspects Lakes Across Hyderabad

Hyderabad:HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath inspected several development works across the city on Friday, focusing on lake conservation and drainage improvements. He visited Sunnam Cheruvu in Borabanda and reviewed the diversion of sewage drains to ensure that only clean rainwater enters the lake. Locals urged him to remove illegal sheds near Padmavatinagar and reported road encroachments beneath high-tension power lines.

At NGO Colony, the commissioner visited Moosaikunta and Gosaikunta lakes and called for their development. He also examined underground drainage works near Chintalkunta in Vanasthalipuram.

In Badangpet’s Meerpet, Ranganath inspected the widening of drain lines near Malla Reddy Function Hall. HYDRAA reported that the function hall had encroached on the drain and constructed illegal structures. The commissioner directed them to build a new drain line from the lake.

He later visited Bandlaguda and Jalpally, inspecting Pedda Cheruvu and Humda Sagar lakes, and instructed officials to ensure there were no attempts to encroach upon them.
