Conclusion
As you can see in the chart, there are 3 configurations in which you can have the Tata Harrier.ev – a. 65 kWh RWD, b. 75 kWh RWD and c. 75 kWh QWD.
Among the 5 variants, the mid-spec Fearless+ trim offers the most value with an ample list of features and tech. Everything from design to functions is taken up a notch compared to the base-spec variant. This includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, JBL audio and more.
The Empowered variant offers everything, and if you want the all-wheel-drive system, this is the variant you will have to buy.
Do let us know what you think is the most value-for-money variant, and also if you had to buy the Tata Harrier.EV, which variant would you pick?
Here’s what GTO had to say on the matter:
As a family, we have always chosen the top variant only, and here, Tata is giving us a great reason to.
- AWD is a USP among EV SUVs of the same price band
- Faster performance & acceleration
Tata has picked up a lot of software trickery from Jaguar-Land Rover and it’s simply amazing how those terrain modes make your car offroad-ready for the surface beneath you. It’s like having 10 expert-offroaders assisting you. Makes it a breeze, and can make a newbie look like a pro!
Now, Mahindra should get AWD for its EVs. I know the management is not keen on it yet because of the low sales, but they have to understand, not everything is about sales. AWD / 4×4 are part of Mahindra’s DNA and having an AWD E-SUV contributes to building the Mahindra brand, just like the earlier 4x4s did. This isn’t a business case = it’s a long-term branding exercise.
Here’s what BHPian vattyboy had to say on the matter:
If buying Harrier Ev, I will go for the QWD due to it’s power i.e claimed 0-100 kmph in approx 6 secs.
If Tata gives same power specs in mid models than I will settle down with Fearless+.
