Kingdom was pitched as Vijay Deverakonda’s grand return to the pan India space after the disastrous Liger. To help boost appeal in the Hindi market, the makers even brought in Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor to provide a voice over for the teaser. It was a calculated move to draw attention in the North.
But despite all the public relations and planning, the film’s performance in Hindi belts has turned out to be a complete washout.

According to box office tracking site Sacnilk, Kingdom collected just Rs. 60 lakhs net from the North in two days. This excludes Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. Even that number includes earnings from the original Telugu version playing in a few theaters. This means the actual Hindi dub collections may not even cross Rs. 50 lakhs.
For comparison, Liger, which was itself a colossal failure, still managed a Rs. 4.5 crore opening day in Hindi and wrapped up its lifetime run at around Rs. 20 crores, as per Box Office India. In contrast, Kingdom may not even touch Rs. 1.5 crores in its total run in Hindi. That is not just underperformance. It is an outright rejection.
