ANANTAPUR: The Nigama Foundation, in collaboration with MY Bharat (an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India), Pragathi Padham Youth Association, KH Mind Care, and SR Educational Society, officially launched the Project Parivarthan at Sri Krishnadevaraya Bhawan in Anantapur on Saturday.

The primary objective of this initiative is to promote an addiction-free youth (Nasha Mukt Yuva) and to raise awareness about mental health as part of the vision for a developed India (Viksit Bharat). As part of the programme, weekly orientation and interaction sessions will be held every Wednesday and Saturday. These sessions will target youth aged 15 to 29 across educational institutions, residential hostels, and training centers. The focus will be on addressing mental health issues, combating mobile addiction, preventing substance abuse, and discouraging smoking and alcohol consumption. All sessions will be conducted under the supervision of qualified mental health practitioners and esteemed doctors.

On the occasion, laptops sponsored by the Nigama Foundation were awarded to institutions and organisations actively working for youth empowerment in the Anantapur and Sri Sathya Sai districts. In recognition of their commitment, certificates were presented to youth volunteers who have played an active role in promoting mental health and advocating for an addiction-free youth under the initiative.

The programme featured several notable participants, including Anantapur RDO Keshava Naidu, Nigama Foundation co-founder Vasundhara, national youth awardee and Viksit Bharat ambassador Bisathi Bharath, director of the Anantapur Urban Cooperative Bank Sunkara Ramesh, and India awardees Bisati Jeevan Kumar and Kuruba Jaya Maruthi. Psychiatrist Dr. Garugu Balaji also participated in the event. The event also underscored the vision of union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and the leadership of Sameer K.
