The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) has taken up the development work of decades old Gadiyaram Hospital in Kurnool. The Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC), which used to manage the hospital, has completed the process of transferring the management rights to CREDAI.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KMC Commissioner P. Viswanatha and CREDAI district chairman Gorantla Ramana to this effect in the Commissioner’s camp office here on Sunday (August 3, 2025). On the occasion, Mr. Viswanatha appreciated the CREDAI for the various initiatives it is taking up as a social responsibility.

Mr. Viswanatha said that CREDAI had come forward voluntarily to bring back the decades old glory of Gadiyaram Hospital. The KMC, in its meeting on Saturday (August 2, 2025), approved the proposal to hand over the management of the hospital to CREDAI. Extending all possible support to the CREDAI, the Commissioner said that the hospital will cater to the medical needs of the people living in the nearby localities.

Mr. Ramana said that they have decided to adopt the hospital for 10 years on the suggestion of Minister for Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath. Initially, the hospital will be developed by spending ₹20 lakh and steps will also be taken to recruit more medical staff with the help of the Industries Minister and officials. He said they have prepared a plan for modernising the hospital and works will start soon.

Deputy Commissioner Satish Kumar Reddy, public health officer Dr Visweswara Reddy, CREDAI representatives G. Sairam Reddy, Ranganath Reddy and others were also present during the signing of the MoU.
