King Nagarjuna had been concentrating on positive leading man roles from past 4 decades in Telugu Cinema. He did try his hand at a negative character in Hindi in Agnivarsha but never looked to repeat it in Telugu or other languages. Now, he turned into an antagonist at full fledge in Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj pursued him over months to get his approval to star in this role. Nagarjuna leaped into a playing prominent supporting lead roles with Kuberaa but Coolie is completely different. For the first time, he is going to unleash the beast within him. Till date, Sun Pictures did not reveal his look.
But in recent posters, before the trailer release this evening, they have unveiled two posters oF Nagarjuna in menacing look. Filled with blood and enjoying the gore, in his typical stylish manner, he created a havoc on social media, upon the posters release. Many are waiting eagerly to watch him in the trailer in full force.
While they are other stars like Upendra, Aamir Khan, Satyaraj, Shruthi Haasan and Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna has been prominently dominating the space. Even Rajinikanth is unable to match him.
Well, the movie completed censor formalities with “A” certificate and Nagarjuna’s unhinged gore character seems to be the major novelty of this film, for Telugu audiences. Let’s watch the trailer and see, what’s Loki serving this time around, on 14th August.
