The makers of OG (They Call Him OG) have kickstarted their musical promotions with the release of the first single, “Firestorm.” As expected from a hero-intro track, the song is high on energy, showcasing the power and fear the protagonist commands.
Penned by Viswa and Srinivas Mouli, the track is sung by Thaman, Simbu, Nazeeruddin, Bharathraj, Deepak Blue, with pop artist Raja Kumari joining the chorus. Rather than focusing on any one vocalist, the song relies on a heavy techno sound, delivering more impact through its beats and production than melody or lyrical depth.
Composed by Thaman in a style reminiscent of Anirudh Ravichander, “Firestorm” is beat-oriented, aggressive, and tailor-made for mass impact. It is likely to work best with visuals on the big screen.
