Kavitha parroting BRS opponents’ language: Jagadish Reddy

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA G. Jagadish Reddy said MLC Kavitha was just reiterating the comments of BRS and KCR’s opponents, including Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. “I pity her for her understanding of my role in the Telangana movement,” he said, reacting to Ms. Kavitha’s comments.

Speaking to the media at Suryapet on Sunday, the BRS leader, who is a close confidant of BRS supremo K. Chandrasekhar Rao, said that the existence of any BRS leader is due to KCR. He also opined that no one is above the party.

Reacting to criticism that he was responsible for the party’s loss in the erstwhile Nalgonda district, he said he took responsibility for both wins and electoral defeats. He also claimed that he had never discussed Ms. Kavitha’s issue with KCR during their meetings. “We only discussed issues related to farmers, Godavari water, including the Banakacherla project,” he said.

On MLC Chintapandu Naveen aka Teenmar Mallanna’s ‘objectionable’ comments on Ms. Kavitha, Mr. Jagadish Reddy feigned ignorance of the episode. “I would have responded to them, provided I was aware of them,” he added.
