Hyderabad: A 38-year-old fast food worker was critically injured after being hit by a speeding bike near a petrol pump on Kuntloor Road under Hayathnagar police station limits.
According to a complaint lodged by Bingi Mahesh, owner of Raj Hotel, the victim, Sangaram Kashari Malik, a native of Odisha, was walking to the nearby Raghavendra Bar and Restaurant from his residence.
While crossing the road near the petrol pump, Malik was hit by a bike (TS 30 7333), which was being driven in a rash and negligent manner from Kuntloor towards Hayathnagar. The rider was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.
Malik suffered severe injuries to his head, chest and left leg. On being informed by another staff member, Mahesh arranged to shift him to Osmania General Hospital, where doctors stated that his condition is critical.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Teams are working to identify the vehicle and trace the rider.
