Cyberabad Commissionerate won Overall Championship at the Police Duty Meet held in Warangal.

Warangal: Director General of Police Dr Jitender on Saturday said that police personnel can deliver justice effectively only when they demonstrate excellence in professional skills.

He was speaking at the closing ceremony of the three-day second Telangana Police Duty Meet, organised by the Warangal Police Commissionerate at PTC Mamnoor.

Dr Jitender, along with Director General of Prisons Dr Soumya Mishra, presented trophies to the winners in various categories. Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, which bagged the highest number of medals, was awarded the Overall Championship Trophy.

Congratulating the winners, Dr Jitender said the duty meet helps sharpen investigative and operational skills, and serves as a stepping stone for national-level competitions. “This platform boosts both skills and confidence in policing,” he said.

Dr Soumya Mishra recalled participating in a similar event during her tenure as SP and expressed interest in organizing state-level duty meets within the prisons department.

The evening concluded with cultural performances and a fireworks show. Several senior officials including Multi-Zone IGP Chandrasekhar Reddy, CID DIG Narayana Naik, district collectors Dr Satya Sarada (Warangal) and Sneha Shibarish (Hanamkonda), and SPs from Bhupalpalli and Mahabubabad also attended.
