A history-sheeter was murdered in broad daylight by three unidentified individuals at Jagadgirigutta on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased, Mohd Mahbub, had a history-sheet against him at the Musheerabad police station and was involved in at least 13 criminal cases, including 7 to 8 thefts, and a murder case, in Patancheru.
According to police, the incident was reported around 4.30 p.m. near the entrance of Goodwill Hotel in Yellammabanda. “The trio confronted Mahbub and stabbed him with knives. He sustained grievous injuries and died due to heavy bleeding,” said K. Suresh Kumar, DCP Balanagar.
Mahbub’s body was shifted for postmortem examination. Police have registered a case and formed special teams to trace and trace the attackers. Investigation is also underway to establish the motive behind the murder.
