Nizamabad: District collector T. Vinay Krishna Reddy called on everyone to uphold the ideals of Telangana ideologue Prof. K. Jayashankar, noting that following his vision is the best way to honour Jayashankar’s legacy. On the occasion of his 91st birth anniversary, Vinay Krishna Reddy, joined by additional collectors Ankit and Kiran Kumar, municipal commissioner Dileep Kumar, District BC Welfare Officer Narsaiah, State Women’s Commission member Sudham Lakshmi, and other leaders, paid floral tributes at Jayashankar’s statue in Kanteshwar, recalling his tireless advocacy for a separate Telangana state.
In Kamareddy, district collector Ashish Sangvan lauded Prof. Jayashankar as a selfless leader who awakened backward regions of Telangana and actively participated in every phase of the statehood movement. He urged citizens to follow Jayashankar’s footsteps and contribute to Telangana’s development. Nizamabad Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya and additional police commissioner (admin) G. Baswareddy also paid homage, while leaders from various political parties garlanded the Professor’s statues across the district, honoring his sacrifice for Telangana.
