Triumph has launched the Thruxton 400 in India, priced at Rs 2,74,137 (ex-showroom). The new caf racer will be introduced in the global market later this year. The Thruxton 400 features a classic cafer racer-style fairing with a circular LED headlamp. It has clip-on handlebars, a sculpted fuel tank, and a colour-coded bullet seat cowl. Besides the looks, Triumph has also made some changes to the chassis. The Thruxton 400 gets a redesigned rear subframe and rear-set footpegs. The suspension setup has also been tweaked to provide a sportier and engaging ride. The new caf racer is powered by the same 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. However, it has a slightly higher output of 41.5 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm @ 7,500 rpm. The Thruxton 400 is equipped with an upside-down front fork and has a mono-shock at the rear. It rides on alloy wheels and has disc brakes at both ends. It comes with switchable traction control, a torque-assist clutch, and ride-by-wire throttle.
