Megastar Chiranjeevi is being revered as solemn head of Telugu Film Industry, who can take care of the internal issues, alike Dasari Narayana Rao. While he is ready to discuss the issues, he is also very careful to not over commit to it. Now, rumors have been going around that he gave an assurance to Workers’ Federation about 305 hike.
Telugu Film Workers’ Union has gone for strike following the completion of 30% hike agreement in July this year for renewal as Producers did not agree to it. Now, Producers and Chamber have decided to not held any further talks with unions. So, rumors have come out that Chiranjeevi gave assurance to workers about hike.
Condemning them, Chiranjeevi on X wrote, “It has come to my attention that some individuals claiming to be the members of the Film Federation have gone to media falsely claiming that I have met them and given an assurance that their demands regarding 30% wage hike etc., shall be met and that I will be starting shooting very soon.
I wish to set the record straight that I have not met anyone from the federation This is an industry issue and no individual including me can give any unilateral assurances to solve any problem one way or the other.
The film chamber is the apex body of the Telugu Film Industry and only the Film chamber as a collective will engage in discussions with all concerned and arrive at a just solution. Until such time, making such false claims is unacceptable.
I condemn all such baseless and motivated claims to create confusion among all stakeholders. Please note.” He stated that he is not going to unilaterally take decisions as all stakeholders are important in this issue. So, the matter is going to drag on further. Let’s see when it will be solved.
