VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has greeted people on Saturday on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
In a message on Raksha Bandhan, Pawan Kalyan said the festival beautifully symbolises the bond between brothers and sisters. “Rakhi is more than just a thread; it is an emotional signal of our deep connection,” he underlined.
On the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasised that the state government is prioritising initiatives aimed at empowering women. “As part of these efforts, we have successfully launched programmes like Deepam-2 and Talliki Vandanam. Additionally, we will soon provide free travel on RTC buses, starting from Independence Day,” he pointed out.
Pawan Kalyan said women in tribal areas often have to use palanquins to reach hospitals due to inadequate road access. “This government is dedicated to building roads that ensure safe travel, eliminating the need for palanquins. Under the Adavi Talliki Baata initiative, we are committed to constructing necessary infrastructure,” he added.
