Federation Workers Reject the proposed salary hikes

The Film Federation has announced that workers will only return to shooting if a flat 30% wage increase is implemented. The union leaders stated that the tiered percentage system proposed by the producers is unacceptable.

While expressing openness to negotiating on the producers’ conditions, they clarified that a phased acceptance of these terms is possible and not a major obstacle. The Federation also insisted that any wage increase must be applied equally across all unions, alleging that producers are attempting to create divisions among the various worker groups.

To press their demands, the unions have announced a protest program scheduled for tomorrow at 8:30 AM. They have stated that they would not agree for divide and rule policy of producers. We want clarity on how they will work towards solving the issues amicably.

They stated that they will discuss with all unions and every member representative tomorrow. They stated that 8 film shootings and other 3 are happening as those producers have given 30% hikes. If they will also strike against these or not will be announced after their general body meeting.
