Hyderabad Police to Deport Minor Girl to Bangladesh with MEA’s Help

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police decided to deport the minor girl, who escaped from the clutches of prostitution racketeers on Saturday and straight away drove to Bandlaguda police station seeking help, to her native place at Dhaka in Bangladesh soon.

“After collecting more details from the girl, we will start the process of deporting her to Dhaka with the help of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in New Delhi,” said Chandrayangutta Assistant Commissioner of Police A Sudhakar.

“We are trying to get her identity proofs and educational certificates to start the process of deportation,” he explained. The process would be started in coordination with Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID), which is the nodal agency for the State in handling various types of crimes including those requiring assistance from the MEA and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

According to police, the 15-year-old girl entered India illegally from Bangladesh travelling in a boat by crossing over a river at night in February 2025 via West Bengal with the help of her neighbor Rupa. After reaching Hyderabad, Rupa handed over the girl to Shahnaaz Fathima at Mehdipatnam and left.

An auto rickshaw driver Mohammed Sameer later came to Shahnaaz’s house and took the girl to the house of Hajera Begum at Ismail Nagar. Threatening the girl to implicate in a case related to illegal migration and send her to jail, she forced the girl into flesh trade. The girl was shifted to Shahnaaz’s house where she was forced to indulge in prostitution at hotel rooms.

On Saturday, the girl gave a slip to Sameer, who forced her into flesh trade when he was parking in an auto rickshaw, and approached Bandlaguda police seeking help. Based on her statement, the police raided a hotel in Mehdipatnam and rescued three more women from West Bengal.

The police arrested Hajera (41) of Bandlaguda, Shahnaaz Fathima (32) of Mehdipatnam and auto rickshaw driver Sameer (23) of Kanchanbagh. Two more persons – Rupa of Dhaka in Bangladesh and Sarwar of Hyderabad are absconding.
