Su From So became an all-time blockbuster for Kannada Cinema. Now, Mythri Movie Makers have dubbed and released it in Telugu language. The movie is promoted as a hilarious comic entertainer. Let’s discuss about the film in detail.

Plot:

In a village, Ravi Anna (Shaneel Gautham), a buliding construction workers’ head becomes the most popular and indirect head. He is consulted upon for everything and is renowned for his knowledge and prowess. But he is also very innocent and has odd beliefs. Even the entire village has some oddly behaving people with their innocence.

One day Painter Ashok (JP Thuminad) acts as of possessed by a ghost to escape from a mischief. Entire village gets scared and run to a Swamiji (Raj B Shetty) upon Ravi’s instruction. Swamiji reveals that Sulochana from Someswaram is the ghost haunting Ashok. What happens next? Who is Sulochana? Watch the movie to know more.

Analysis:

Shaneel Gautham and JP Thuminad perform well in their roles. Especially, Shaneel is highly believable as Ravi Anna. His screen presence actually evokes humor in many instances. Sandhya Arakere is also good in her role as a person facing abuse. Others are also perfectly cast.

But the problem lies in repetitive sequences in what feels like a simple storyline. One comic punch seems to be dragged to death and hyperboles are used to conveniently take the story forward. With such repetitive structure the movie needed strong emotional core from the start.

At least it needed the lead to have certain emotional challenges for the transformation to not feel sudden and impact less. The movie needed to establish a flow with Ashok’s character but it tries to go around others more which feels like roaming aimlessly.

While the set up is good and several punches land, the film does drag in the second hour with every predictable drama. Few emotional punches also feel sudden at places while a good set up for such tangents should have helped a smooth transition in the first hour. Overall, a time-pass entertainer but with several dips in the narrative.

Bottomline:

Few dragged sequences lessen the impact of this comedy.

Rating: 2.75/5
