Hyderabad Rain August 11 | Parts of city receive evening showers

Hyderabad witnessed a spell of showers in the evening on Monday (August 11, 2025), with rain lashing several parts of the city during the rush hour and causing traffic to slow at key junctions.

According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), as of 6 p.m., Ramachandrapuram and Patancheru recorded a rainfall of 17 mm followed by 14.5 mm in Quthbullapur, 14.3 mm in Rajendranagar, 10 mm in BHEL Factory, 5.8 mm in Gachibowli, 5.5 mm in Secunderabad cantonment, 5 mm in Hayathnagar, 4.8 mm in Lingampally, 4 mm in Begumpet and 3.5 mm in Chandanagar.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier issued a heavy rainfall alert for Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri districts for the day.
