Interestingly, it will offer dual charging ports, placed on each side of the front fenders instead of a nose-mounted port as we have seen in the Clavis EV.

The latest spy images also show aero-optimized alloy wheels, neon-coloured brake callipers (similar to those offered on Kia’s GT models in Korea) and disc brakes at both ends. The overall silhouette and design of the Syros EV appear to the similar to its ICE-powered version. Design elements such as LED headlamps, LED DRLs and LED taillamps, flush-fitting door handles and shark fin antenna will be carried over from its ICE counterpart.

EV-specific Changes
The cabin layout and features of the Kia Syros EV are expected to be identical to the ICE-powered version. However, the EV is likely to receive EV-specific software for the instrument cluster. Kia might also introduce trims and upholstery options for the electric model.
Battery Packs & Range
According to reports, the upcoming Kia Syros EV will borrow the 42kWh and 49kWh battery packs from the globally-sold Hyundai Inster EV. Both batteries use Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) cells. The smaller battery pack offers a claimed range of 300km, while the larger one promises up to 355km on a full charge.
Estimated Pricing & Rivals
The ICE-powered Kia Syros is currently available within the price range of Rs 9.50 lakh – Rs 17.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV’s electric version is expected to cost around Rs 14 lakh for the base variant and nearly Rs 20 lakh for the top-end variant. Once launched, the Syros EV will go head-to-head against the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV and the upcoming Maruti Fronx EV.
