Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated GlobeTrotter (working title) has been generating buzz since its launch earlier this year. Filming began in January 2025 but has proceeded with long breaks. After more than a month’s gap, the team resumed shooting in Hyderabad earlier this week.
Priyanka Chopra, who plays a pivotal role, has once again flown to Hyderabad to shoot alongside Mahesh Babu. Interestingly, Mahesh stayed in the city for his milestone 50th birthday on August 9, skipping his usual overseas celebrations to participate in the ongoing schedule.
Priyanka Chopra is also sharing images outside of the movie sets on her Instagram. She recently shared series of photos as daughter playing with her on the sets.
Originally, the team had planned to shoot elaborate action sequences in Kenya’s national parks. However, due to political unrest there, Rajamouli opted to recreate the settings using blue-screen technology in Hyderabad.

The makers recently confirmed “GlobeTrotter” as a tentative title, with the final title and first-look teaser set to be unveiled in a grand event this November. Billed as an adventure thriller, the film is produced by KL Narayana, with cinematography by PS Vinod and music by MM Keeravani.
“GlobeTrotter” is scheduled to be released in 2027.
