People will teach Congress lesson for failing to implement six guarantees: KTR

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao slammed Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for his recent remarks claiming that the Congress government had implemented ‘almost all of the six guarantees’ promised to the people during the poll campaign.

In a statement on Wednesday, Mr. Rama Rao recalled that the Congress and its leaders, including Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka, had urged people to ‘keep the six guarantee cards safe’ and assured that every promise would be fulfilled within 100 days of coming to power.

“Now, it’s not just 100 days but two years since you took office, and not a single guarantee has been fully implemented. Yet you claim to have fulfilled almost all — this is nothing but deceiving the people,” he charged. Alleging that the Congress had deceived the people in this regard, Mr. Rama Rao said the public would chase Congress leaders away when they visit their villages. Throwing down a challenge to the Deputy Chief Minister and other Ministers to visit any village in Telangana and tell the people that all promises have been fulfilled, Mr. Rama Rao said, “If you have the courage, go and say it. If the villagers don’t drive you out after hearing that, I will quit politics permanently.”

Mr. Rama Rao further asserted that the propaganda of the Congress regarding the implementation of the six guarantees would be met with a befitting reply from the people soon.
