First of all, let me tell you, I’m in complete love with my i20 and the more time I spend with her, the deeper I’m falling for her. I don’t know if it’s because of her beautiful looks, comfortable interiors, so many gizmos or her extremely silent operation, all I can tell is I enjoy spending time with her and make it a point to take her out on Sundays to shopping malls, multiplex halls and restaurants and ensure we’ve a blast together!
Anyways, coming back to the topic, I decided to invest for sunfilms as quite a lot of heat, light and glare enters through the relatively big glass area of the i20 and even though the FATC does a fab job of keeping things cool I still decided to get it done as it’ll help in keeping the interiors fresh in the long term.
I had installed 3M CR70 for my Tucson, and I’m very satisfied with the same, hence didn’t think twice for my i20. Fixed an appointment and dropped the car for installation, which was done very well by the 3M technicians as usual.
One weird thing which happened was after the car was dropped back by 3M post sunfilm installation, the car somehow refused to shut off and when it eventually did, the instrument cluster kept on flickering even after the car was locked, and it completely terrified the heck out of me!
I visited the ASC the next morning itself, they ran a complete diagnostic scan and no anomalies were detected and even the SA was clueless as he had never heard or seen anything like this before and kept the car under observation. Later, they diagnosed some moisture accumulation near the OBD box which went away on its own and so did the weird issue. Still, they kept the car for that day to check if the issue crops up again and thankfully it didn’t. The next day they washed the car (which was FOC) and returned it. Phew!
Now so far so good! Hoping to take her for a long outstation trip soon!
Look at my princess, with her beautiful smile and mesmerizing eyes, she doesn’t just attract, she intoxicates with her charisma! Simply lovely!
