The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Celebrated The 79th Independence Day at the party headquarters here on Friday, with a large number of party leaders and activists participating in the flag hoisting.
Party Working President KT Rama Rao Hoisted The National Flag, and Leaders B. Vinod Kumar, V. Ravichandra, S. Madhusudana Chary, P. Venkatarama Reddy, Naveen Kumar Reddy, MD. Mahamood Ali, Satyavati Rathod, Tula Uma, G. Sunitha Mahender Reddy and Several others, Participated in the Event.
Speaking after hoisting the Tricolour, Mr. Rama Rao said the BRS rule from 2014 to 2023 had made the youngest State of the country achieve enviable progress in many development and welfare sectors, with key economic indicators like per capita income registering the highest growth rate in the country. The State had also achieved many successes in the farming sector by increasing the foodgrains production multi-fold, and becoming the top producer of paddy in the country.
51 times Delhi visit, but no gains
However, the 20-month Congress rule had brought back the pre-2014 days with farmers forced to wait in serpentine queues even for getting one bag of urea and Delhi controlling the State’s affairs. The present Chief Minister had visited Delhi 51 times during the 20 month period but achieved nothing.
Later, while releasing a book titled ‘Praja Yodhudu’ authored by Mahendra Thotakuri, Mr. Rama Rao said that the leadership of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for 10 years had made Telangana a top-performing State in many sectors, transforming the region neglected badly in the combined States by the Congress and Telugu Desam Party rulers.
He stated that the Revanth Reddy Government had borrowed more loans in its 20-month rule than the 10-year rule of KCR.
