CJ Singh Calls For Protecting Freedom


HYDERABAD: Marking the 79th Independence Day, Telangana High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh expressed gratitude to India’s freedom fighters and stated that freedom was won with the trust that every citizen would protect it responsibly in all circumstances.

After hoisting the National flag at the High Court, Chief Justice AK Singh addressed the gathering of advocates, court staff, present Judges of the High Court and former Judges.

The Chief Justice emphasized the role of both judges and lawyers in maintaining public trust in the judiciary, noting that Telangana’s courts have produced some of the nation’s most respected legal professionals. Despite challenges, the High Court resolved 72,414 cases in the past year.

Chief Justice revealed that the state government has granted ₹1,052 crore funds for the construction of 13 new District court complexes. He commended the work done by the Legal Services Authority for settling around 55.2 lakh cases in the last four Lok Adalats. Additionally, he highlighted that more than 5,500 important judgments of the Supreme Court have been translated into the Telugu language.

In the Independence Day ceremony at the High Court, Justices Challa Kodandaram, Raghuram, C.V. Ramulu, Bikshapathi, Yethirajulu, Ravi Kumar, Gopal Reddy, L. Narasimha Reddy, A. Rajashekar Reddy, B. Prakash Rao and others participated.
