User review after 100 Kms of riding is you don’t feel the 1550 Gms of the helmet. Feels very very light and airy

First Impressions
On a recent trip to Bangkok, picked up the Shoei Hornet X2 in Black/ Yellow colour from Proshop Paddock. Only Black / Red and Black /Yellow along with full Black Matte were on promotion. I picked up M size.
RRP for Shoe Hornet X2 in Thailand is THB 22000. I wanted the White / Blue livery to go along with my GS Trophy but it wasn’t on promotion. Black/ Red and Black/ Yellow were for THB 15000 after discount. 7K Baht ~ 19K INR discount was too much to pass up, so picked the Black / Yellow.
Pro shopper tip: Proshop Paddock doesn’t give you VAT Refund as they are not registered with the government. So if you are buying helmet or shoes on RRP without discount, you might want to check other stores that give VAT Refund which is about 5-7%.
Hachi Rider Proshop is also a SHOEI dealer and they provide Personal Fitting System (PFS). So again if you are buying the helmet at full price, the service is complimentary.
Some pics
Interesting to see that pinlock is not suitable for night riding. Wasn’t aware of this.
The Shoei is a M whereas the helmet on right is Scorpion ADX-2 in Small.
As you can see, the Shoei looks smaller.

This is a wonderful choice milecruncher and congratulations on a fantastic new lid. I am using the same helmet as well (in Size M) for a couple of years now and I’ve been really happy with it. I’m sure you’ll love it. I might have asked you to check if you can buy an extra transition visor for yourself but that’s fine. Always another time.
At some point, I’d like to pick up a Modular helmet too but I’m in no rush as my present two Shoeis are serving me just fine. I had got the white / red / blue colorway that I think you are referring to – bought it during a brief trip to Tokyo in Dec 2023 (IIRC). Ironically, your chosen colorway might actually suit some of my gear and my all black GS1300 more and vice versa for you.
