Hyderabad: A Ganesh idol being transported to a pandal fell on the road on the outskirts of Aramghar on Saturday, causing a major traffic jam.
According to motorists, the vehicle carrying the idol went out of control, causing it to tilt and fall across the road.
Police rushed to the spot and took measures to clear the traffic. Authorities advised commuters to take alternative routes.
Devotees expressed grief over the incident, calling it unfortunate that the accident occurred while the idol was being transported to the pandal.
