Hyderabad: Udai Omni Hospital, Chapel Road, Hyderabad, launched its ultra-modern fully indigenous Misso robotic system.
Dr Udai Prakash, Chief of Joint Replacement Surgery, who leads the hospital’s robotic joint replacement unit, said, “This indigenously developed robot is now competing with the best in the world and moving to Europe and America. Shortly, we will be able to do partial knee replacements and total hip replacements with the same robotic system. The beauty about this robot is, it will be able to do spine, hip, partial knee replacement, trauma treatment, etc., in the next 12 to 24 months.”
In addition to this milestone, Udai Omni Hospital is set to launch a state-of-the-art Cath Lab by the end of this month to strengthen its cardiac care services. Plans are also underway to integrate AI-driven diagnostics, expand minimally invasive surgical offerings, and develop advanced physiotherapy units to enhance post-operative recovery and rehabilitation.
