I had a wireless carplay and android auto device lying around. I thought of installing and trying it on Inty

Installation Process
Some updates on the Interceptor, i had one trip planned to Kotagiri in the early June and BMW was in service center(will update the BMW thread soon), so thought of taking the Interceptor.
As my Interceptor was one of the first bike, which didn’t come with a USB charger. I was using power bank on trips for charging the phone or will lose the navigation. It was a bit cumbersome solution. I had a wireless carplay and android auto device lying around. I thought of installing and trying it on Inty, although it looked very out of place on the bike. Used it for couple of days and then removed it.
Naked bike ready for wiring
Lots of dirt below the frame, cleaned it and finished the wiring. Power taken from battery and ignition signal from the horn fuse. Used heat resistance sleeve for cables below the tank as engine heat could damage the wires.

How it looked on the bike, very out of place

Front and rear camera
Comes with a nice handle bar control module as well.
While installing this i noticed the tail lamp was loose, one side mount was broken, tail light glass is not available separately, so got the whole unit.

The glass
The whole unit is priced at 429rs.

I needed some solution to charge the phone, as didnt like the car play device. The new inty comes with USB charger below the clutch level. Went to RE and bought part.
Here is the part no, priced at 700rs if anyone is interested.
My bike has a accessories port which can be used to add any accessory. The RE charger comes with different connector, which needed to be changed to correct female connector. Looked for the connector in many shops but nobody had it. Finally bought a used one for 20rs.
RE charger comes with this connector.
My bike needed the below connector.
The USB charger, it has USB A port, with 5V 2A output. This was sufficient for me. as phone anyway gets very hot with fast chargers. Comes with a spring loaded latch, which will hopefully save it from water.
The charger is mounted just below the clutch level. Please note that only one screw can be used in older interceptors, but seemed very study even with single screw mount.

Mounted the small step down transformer below the speedo console. As cables were not removable on the both ends and it couldn’t be passed through the hole in the headlight dome. Used double sided tape and cable tie. Its a weather sealed unit, filled with some silicon sealant.
Got the bike washed before the trip.
After a fresh coat of wax.
