In the face of relentless heavy rainfall, power department staff across Telangana are working tirelessly around the clock to prevent outages and restore supply to affected areas. Despite challenges such as fallen trees and damaged poles, most repairs are being completed within hours to maintain uninterrupted connectivity.
In one such extraordinary effort, lineman Haimuddin from Siddipet waded into the waters of Nagasamudrala lake near Bathulavanipally in the Baswapur section of Siddipet circle under the TGSPDCL jurisdiction to fix a snapped power line on Wednesday. Using a rope for support and with the help of two others, he climbed a pole located in the middle of the lake and successfully restored the connection, ensuring power supply to residents.
Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka lauded Haimuddin’s courage, stating, “Proud of our lineman, Haimuddin from Siddipet, who braved floodwaters to restore power. Your courage reflects the spirit of Telangana’s Energy Department. While we serve the people with dedication, we must always keep safety first.”
