Hyderabad: Director-General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Dr. Soumya Mishra convened a review meeting on Monday regarding the forthcoming 7th All India Prison Duty Meet–2025 scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from September 9 to 11 at the RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy.
The meeting, convened at the State Institute of Correctional Administration (SICA), Hyderabad, was attended by all working committee members, including serving prison officials, retired senior officers, coaches, and referees.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Soumya Mishra formally launched the official event website of the All India Prison Duty Meet–2025. Along with this, the official logo was unveiled, marking an important step towards the smooth conduct of the national event.
Through the dedicated website, participating States and Union Territories will be able to register their contingents online. The platform will also serve as a comprehensive information hub, providing access to event-related details, updates, and clarifications.
During the review, Dr. Soumya Mishra took stock of the ongoing arrangements and emphasized the need for meticulous planning and teamwork to ensure the smooth conduct of this prestigious national event. So far, 22 States have confirmed participation, out of which 13 States have already submitted their participants list.
It is expected that over 1200 participants from across the country will take part, making it one of the largest gatherings in the history of the All India Prison Duty Meets.
The meeting highlighted the collective commitment of Telangana prisons, in close coordination with the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), to make the 7th All India Prison Duty Meet–2025 a grand success.
