I have been doing this for the last 8 months and my Mahindra XUV700 does not have any swirl marks.

Had a nice road trip to Nagarjuna Sagar from Hyderabad this weekend with the family. The drive was fantastic, and the roads are muddy because of the rains. So had to make a quick wash after the return. It just took 15 minutes.
The car isn’t that dirty as far as the top 2/3rd is concerned, but it had some mud at the bottom 1/3. So I can skip the first two steps of Chemical and rinse, and directly start with pretreat and contact wash.
I didn’t wash the tyres and wheels in this wash as it’s just been a week since I sealed, so I don’t want to go into that all again. It’s more like a touch-up.
What do I have for this?
- Bucket with 10L of water and 50mL of Mafra No Rinse.
- Tuqo sponge for the entire body. Noodle mitt for the front and the trims. 2L pump sprayer.
- Shinexpro drying towel.
The process
1) Fill the sprayer from the bucket, and pretreat the whole car. Yes, the whole car as the clmiate is relatively cool and I will be finishing drying in 10 minutes, so no fear of drying out by Mother Nature.
2) Contact wash. Sponge on the windshield, then the hood, then the roof, then the side panels and then the back of the car, followed by mitt on the front, then the bottom plastic trims.
3) Drying
I start with the windshield, then the side window glass, then the back windshield, then the roof, and then the car body. As Mafra no rinse has some wax, I don’t want to leave smears on the glass areas; that’s why I dried them first. It also primes the drying towel so that it can absorb better.
I have to drive it every day anyways. That’s why I didn’t spend time on the wheels and tyres. If you want, you can just use the same rinseless to clean them the same way. No need to go for APC when they aren’t that dirty. Don’t have time to clean the door jambs and all, you can if you want. It’s just a 15mins wash.
As I am advocating rinseless wash strongly in all my threads, I need to present these to prove that it is as safe as (if not better) than washing with a pressure washer and foam in terms of inducing swirl marks. As far as cleaning is concerned, you have the results post the wash in all my threads.
I have been rinseless washing 3 times a month, waterless washing to deal with loose dust, sealing it once when I bought this in Jan, and once in April, and once in the last week, it doesn’t have any swirls yet after 8 months. Ignore the polymer spots here and there as they are because of the Mafra no rinse drying up, as I have done the whole vehicle at once and can be wiped off with a damp towel, or the rain, and aren’t visible in normal light.
