HYDERABAD: The Rachakonda Police Commissionerate on Monday convened a coordination meeting with Ganesh festival organisers and various stakeholders to ensure smooth conduct of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations this year.
The festival will begin on August 27 (Wednesday) with idol installations and conclude on September 6 (Saturday) with immersion processions. Notably, the penultimate day of immersions will coincide with Milad-un-Nabi on September 5 (Friday), which is expected to draw large religious gatherings, bike rallies, and huge processions.
Police officials said special focus would be laid on maintaining peace and safety, particularly along Milad-un-Nabi routes, sensitive areas, and major traffic junctions.
