Car has taken me to Pangong (from Bangalore) once. It rarely sees highways now since we got another car for that but it’s used daily for office commute

Bhpian anshumandun recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Reached a Milestone of 123456 kms! 2016 model.

1. Throttle Body gave up recently. Part and labour cost was around 50k to change it.
2. DSG and clutch are still stock! Unbelievable.
3. Steering rack was changed recently. It had started to make noises.
4. Suspension is doing okay. Changed a few parts but full suspension replacement is not far away.
5. Normal petrol used always. Never used 95 or 100 octane.

I can’t believe that the car is 9 years old. Just got it dechromed and some detailing done and it just looks like staright out of the showroom! Designed beautifully and built so well. I had thought about replacing it with a Virtus but the quality and feel that the Polo exudes are irreplaceable. This car is staying with us for a long time

Here’s BHPian Rohitthebest sharing his experience with the Polo:

Congratulations, now that is one hell of a number to cross in what? 9 years. Mine is about to touch 77777 and will be completing fuss-free 5 years by November this year. As you said, it is indeed an amazing car to drive, totally in love with it, and it’s a keeper for sure.

Meanwhile, Bhpian cpabhijit added this to the conversation:

Lovely, lovely car that! Polo is irreplaceable, indeed.

Mine is a 2013 one. One of the 1st few to hit the streets of Bangalore. Changed the ignition coil just last month. Also got the alloys repainted in the same original colour. Rest everything is still factory fit. The itch to upgrade takes hold and I take test drives only to come back severely disappointed with the options available.

After a recent wash…doesn’t look dated now, does it?
