September Telugu releases box office clash

August was expected to close with Raviteja’s Mass Jatharabut with the delay, attention has now shifted to September. The month is loaded with high-stakes releases. After the setbacks of Coolie and WAR 2, the industry is waiting anxiously for box office revival.

The first big release will be Ghaati on September 4. The Mass Jathara team is still in talks for September 5, though September 12 is also being discussed. On the same weekend, Teja Sajja’s Mirai is likely to arrive, putting theater owners in a scheduling crunch.

Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas has already confirmed Kishkindhapuri for September 12. Miraiand Mass Jathara all release in the same week, audiences may be split. The clash could affect footfalls heavily, making it a risky weekend for everyone involved.

Toward the end of the month, AKhand 2 and OG are both set for September 25. Pawan Kalyan’s And is attracting strong buzz, with distributors reportedly paying premium prices for theatrical rights. The clash with Akhand 2 still stands, and both films will test box office strength.

Meanwhile, Tamil dubbed films are entering the race. Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi will hit screens on September 5 with a notable Telugu release. His previous film Amaran performed well in Telugu, boosting expectations. Vijay Antony’s Bhadrakali is scheduled for September 12, adding to the crowded line-up.

In just three weeks, audiences will see at least five major Telugu releases alongside two Tamil dubbed titles. Each carries weight in terms of stars, budgets, and career impact. September could turn into a decisive month where winners and losers will be separated clearly.

The stakes are high, the clashes are intense, and the outcomes are unpredictable. With so many films competing for space and attention, the box office will reveal which projects connect with audiences and which struggle under the pressure of competition.
